About the Shul
Bet Midrash Ahavat Shalom is a vibrant and growing Torah-oriented community synagogue, located in the newly developed area of Ramat Bet Shemesh, Israel. Ramat Bet Shemesh is the fastest growing English-speaking community in Israel. Ahavat Shalom’s current membership consists of over 40 families, many of whom are English-speaking Olim, Russian Olim as well as veteran Israelis.
Ahavat Shalom seeks to create a warm and cohesive Kehilah, which offers a full range of communal services, programs and activities for its members and the community at large, including unaffiliated neighbors.
The synagogue offers a full Tefilot / prayer- schedule with weekday Shacharit, Mincha and Maariv services. Shabbat Tefilot include Kabbalat Shabbat, a regularly packed-house for Shacharit, as well as Mincha & Maariv davening. Every month a heimish Shabbat Mevarchim Kiddush brings together families from all over Ramat Bet Shemesh.
The Bet Midrash hosts a daytime Kollel for advanced Rabbinical studies. The Bet Midrash is open from 6 a.m. till 11 p.m. at night, filled with the sound of the many Torah classes or the learning of individuals or small groups.
Ahavat Shalom has its own Torah Tape Library, with over 550 tapes in Hebrew and English, from a variety of leading Torah personalities. The library serves as a valuable resource for the hundreds of families in the area.

The Future
We are currently in the process of:
- Choosing a Rav to lead our community
- The completion of writing a new Sefer Torah
- Working towards a permanent home for the Shul
Bet Midrash Ahavat Shalom has fast become a home for members of the Ramat Beit Shemesh community, who wish to grow in their observance of Torah Judaism and who are committed to building a strong Kehila in the Land of Israel.
