Q. If I marry an Israeli can I still use my housing rights?
A. Dear Oleh,
This is the kind of question that I answer "yes...but" Keep in mind that if your spouse already owned an apartment ( even if he already sold it) you will be considered a "Baalat Diyur" once you get married and not be entitled to a mortgage. If he didn’t then it still may be better to get the loan as a young Israeli couple rather then as an Olah married to an Israeli.
